Stable NQ runs large community events that rely on volunteers. VRS, their Volunteer Roster System, takes a volunteer from sign-up to sign-in: they register for the event, complete any inductions, choose the shifts and jobs that suit their skills, and check in when they arrive.

We first built VRS for Stable NQ in 2017 and have rebuilt it as they have grown. The current version is an installable web app for volunteers on top of a management portal for the organisers.

North Regional Gas delivers gas bottles across a wide regional area. The app lets customers order a refill from their phone, and a back office turns those orders into delivery runs and invoices.

We have worked on it since 2016, from the first online order form to the current installable app and back office.

A volunteer marine search-and-rescue group asked for a way for locals to tell someone where they are going before they head out on the water or the road. The user logs a trip and the rescue crew watches the other side of it; if the user is late back, the crew is alerted.

First built in 2021 and rebuilt in 2023, with a user app, an admin app for the rescue crew, and a back end that watches for overdue trips.

A group of franchise food stores needed proof that daily tasks were done and a record of stock used, without paper. Staff work through task lists on a phone or tablet in store; managers review and approve them; the owner sees every store in one place.

Photographs of delivery dockets are read automatically, so recording stock is a matter of taking a picture.

A vegetation-management contractor runs crews across large contracts for councils and utilities. Every job has to be quoted, issued, done, recorded to a compliance standard and claimed. This system carries the whole chain: quote, project, work order, field docket, claim.

Crews fill in the docket on site, recording the conditions and what was applied, which is exactly what a chemical-application compliance record must hold.

A debt-collection business wanted small businesses to be able to list an unpaid invoice in minutes, and to search before extending credit to a new customer. Businesses subscribe through the app; the agency verifies them, notifies the debtor and collects.

Money collected for clients has to be held in a trust account with strict records, so payments, the trust ledger and the accounting system are tied together.

A tour seller wanted customers to have everything about their trip in their pocket, not scattered through emails. The app signs in with the same account as the online store and builds each trip from the customer’s orders.

The operator can send trip notes and push notifications, which arrive even when the app is closed.
